<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and effective coating material for treating aneurysm. <P>SOLUTION: This coating material for treating aneurysm is constituted of a fibrinogen component and a thrombin component contained as effective components and a bioabsorbable synthetic fiber contained as a base material. The base material is formed in a bioabsorbable synthetic nonwoven fabric composed of polyglycolic acid. Consequently, the flexibility and contraction and expansion properties of this coating material are excellent and the material can be stuck closely to the wall of a blood vessel. In addition, this material can prevent the enlargement, rupture, and relapse of an aneurysm by urging the growth of connective tissue in the surroundings of an applied part by covering the aneurysm. In addition, this material does not cause any excessive inflammatory reaction in nerves and blood vessel tissues in the surroundings of the applied part and can be made to absorb the aneurysm with time.
