The rolling machine has a control circuit (55) connected to adjustment motors (22,23,32,33) geared to the end bearings (16-19) for the rollers (2,3). The bearings can be moved to alter the separation (w) between the rollers. Angled ridges (20,21,30,31) on the outside of the rollers are used for plastic deformation of workpieces. Each of the profiled rollers has stub shafts engaging with the bearings at each end.
