<p>Tubes (10) in a tube-filling machine are end sealed by arranging a preferably cooled centering sleeve (30) around an outer side of an annular part (24) leaving a gap for introduction of an outer tube, and in that hot gas is supplied through separate passages (26, 31). Method for end sealing of tubes, which have an inner tube (11) and an outer tube separated by a gap, and which are both connected to a common tube shoulder (13). The shoulder has a delivery mechanism for delivering product from the inner tube and the outer tube through an opening. The tubes, after being filled, are fed, individually or in groups, to an end sealing station which has clamping jaws located along a conveyor path and are end sealed. The tube(s) are delivered from the tube-filling machine into a thermal activation feed-out station which precedes the end sealing station. A two-part nozzle (22) for hot gas, preferably hot air, is arranged so that an outer annular part provided with outlet openings (23) can be introduced into the gap between the inner tube and outer tube, and so that an essentially cylindrical part (28) with outlet openings (29) can be introduced to the inner tube to activate the heat-sealable end. The tubes are sealed at the end sealing station with clamping jaws. A, preferably cooled, centering sleeve is arranged around the outer side of the annular part leaving a gap for introduction of the outer tube, and in that the hot gas is supplied through separate passages for the respective nozzle parts to optimize the heat supply, for example in the event of different kinds of material in the inner and outer tubes.</p> |
