STEREOSCOPY METHOD AND HEAD-MOUNTED DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopy method with which contradiction concerned with perception of a distance of stereoscopy is suppressed.

SOLUTION: Disclosed is the stereoscopy method for displaying a three-dimensional stereoscopic image by displaying two-dimensional images on left and right display elements 102 and 103 corresponding to the left eye and right eye with respect to image signals for the left and right eyes; and a light shielding device 106 which shields light so that peripheral parts of the display elements 102 and 103 are not seen with the left and right eye of an observer 1 and the left and right display elements 102 and 103 are observed through the frame of the light shielding device 106.
