<p>A combination oil ring capable of solving such problems with a conventional combination oil ring that, when the combination oil ring is fitted to the ring groove of a piston in the expanded state of the abutment part of the ring body, a coil expander may fall off the ring body and an installation operation is troublesome, wherein the relation between the axial dimension (L1) of the opening edge (27) of a groove part (26) and the maximum axial dimension (L2) of the groove part (26) is set to be L1 < L2.
