<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the width of an index becomes uniform finally in a bundle of bound recording sheets both when trimming is performed as a premise and when the bundle of bound recording sheets is used as it is, and finish of the index in the bundle of the center folded recording sheet can be enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is arranged to be controlled by a main CPU 21 such that an index is recorded at the recording position of a recording sheet, the width of the index is adjusted, the recorded sheet is folded in the center, whether or not the recording sheet folded in the center is cut is determined to set, and then adjustment in the width of the index is varied depending on the setting result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
