<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric material paste capable of forming a piezoelectric material membrane exhibiting excellent dielectric characteristics and piezoelectric characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric material paste contains a Pb based piezoelectric crystal powder, an organic vehicle and a 2-ethyl lead hexanoate. When the piezoelectric material paste is applied and fired to form the piezoelectric material membrane, liquid phase sintering proceeds in the presence of the 1-ethyl lead hexanoate functioning as a sintering assistance.
