<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide grounding structure of a connector installed on a circuit board, wherein the circuit board (a mid plane) is thin, and shielding effect is further improved. <P>SOLUTION: A half 1a of the connector and the other half are installed on a front and rear surfaces of the circuit board, respectively. Both halves has a housing 1a1, and a plurality of first ground plates 1a2 held by the housing; and a plurality of second ground plates 1a3 held by the housing and crossing respective ground plates in a grid, respectively. A plurality of terminals 1a2b and 1a3b formed in the respective ground plates are press-fitted zigzag with a plurality of through-holes formed in the board, respectively. A plurality of contacts for signal arranged across both halves are inserted to the through-holes, respectively.
