LEVEL SHIFTER HAVING LOW PEAK CURRENT

PURPOSE: A level shifter having a low peak current is provided to reduce a peak current by reducing an overlap current in a level shift. CONSTITUTION: First and second input transistors(MN1,MN2) receive an input signal(DATA) and an inverse signal(DATAB) of the input signal. Each end of first and second load transistors(MP1,MP3) is connected to a second voltage level(VDD). A first switch transistor(MP2) is connected between the first load transistor and the first input transistor and responses to the inverse signal. A second switch transistor(MP4) is connected between the second load transistor and the second input transistor and responses to the input signal. A first output unit(31) generates an output signal in response to a connection node signal of the first load transistor and the first switch transistor and a signal of a connection node of the first input transistor and the first switch transistor. A second output unit(33) generates a complementary signal of the output signal in response to a signal of a connection node of the second load transistor and the second switch transistor and a signal of a connection node of the second input transistor and the second switch transistor.
