A key tag for a key ring has a flexible strip (10) with end connectors to form a loop and threaded through at least two apertures/loops (13) on a tag (11). The tag is fitted with profiled guides (13a) to take a locking element which slides and clamps onto the flexible tag. The holding grip can be a spring element, two opposing magnetic poles or any other suitable grip. The flexible tag can be pulled against resistance with the lock closed. The two parts of the tag form an aesthetic appearance.
