PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid pressing energization electrode which has excellent energization characteristics and pressure resistance and in which heat generation due to energization is suppressed and long-term use is made possible. SOLUTION: The hybrid pressing energization electrode is used for an electric current pressure sintering machine where a material to be sintered which is filled into a sintering die between a couple of energization electrodes is pressurized via the energization electrodes and also an electric current is applied to sinter the material to be sintered. The hybrid energization electrode 1 has: an electrode body 10 having desired thickness and desired length and made of material having high mechanical strength; and an electric conductor 20 extending together with the electrode body in the longitudinal direction of the electrode body and made of material having electric conductivity higher than that of the electrode body. Further, a cooling passage for allowing a cooling fluid 15 to flow is formed in at least either of the electrode body and the electric conductor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
