PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter grinding stand which is stably mounted on an upper portion of a water tank of a different dimension, allows a direct use of tap water running from a tap arranged above the water tank, as washing water, and enables the operator to grind a cutter such as a kitchen knife by maintaining a predetermined angle with respect to a grindstone surface. SOLUTION: The cutter grinding stand formed of a square flat plate having a length that can be stretched over front and rear edges of the water tank, is foldable, and a rear engaging member is fastened to a rear lower portion of the grinding stand by a bolt and a nut. Then the grinding stand has a slot formed in a front portion along its longitudinal direction, and a front engaging member provided for a front lower portion of the grinding stand is fastened to the same by a bolt inserted into the slot and a nut. In this manner the grinding stand is fixed to the upper portion of the water tank by adjusting the location of the front engaging member according to an inner depth dimension of the water tank, and further the grindstone is positioned by engaging a rear end of the grindstone with a fastening member fixed to an upper rear location of the grinding stand.
