PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing unit with a sensor capable of detecting the revolution speed of a rolling element with a simple configuration, without requiring work on a roller bearing component and the addition of a separate component. SOLUTION: A sensor device 2 comprises a magnetostriction sensor 8 attached to a fixed-side track member 3 to face a rolling element 5, and a signal processing means that acquires the revolution speed of the rolling element based on the output of the magnetostriction sensor 8.
