PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the stability of a fixing part between a metal part of the lower end part of an operational transformer core and a sample support bar. SOLUTION: In the thermal mechanical analysis apparatus, an intermediate shaft 8 is made of austenite stainless steel. In the intermediate shaft 8, slit-like cutouts 34 axially extending from the end of an opening is provided on the opening part into which the upper end of a glass bar of the sample support bar 19 having a circular cross-section, at two positions forming 180°each other, when viewed from the end face direction of the opening. The cutout 34 has the width of 0.01-1mm, and is formed as the through cutout, from the outer side surface to the inner side surface of the intermediate shaft 8. The upper end of the sample support bar 19 is inserted into the lower end opening part of the intermediate shaft 8 so as to be fixed. An inoculum 30 is inserted into the lower end opening part of the operational transformer core 7b, and is screwed with a screw 32 so as to be fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
