PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably jack down a large-sized rotating machine to install it efficiently by simple operation and by even a non-skilled worker without using machinery and materials such as a complicated and expensive driving controller. SOLUTION: While a rotor 3 is inserted into a stator 2, the rotor 3 is lifted by a hoisting means and is supported. The stator 2 is supported from below by a plurality of jack means 7, and four sections in the surrounding part of the stator 2 are uniformly, obliquely, downward, and tightly stretched by a traction means 10. Next, the stator 2 is slightly and stepwise lowered by each jack means 7, and the rotor 3 is lowered in accordance with it to maintain tight, oblique, and downward stretching of the stator 2 by adjusting each traction means 10.
