PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relay and retransmit only an effective transmission signal by controlling retransmission operation after deciding an input signal condition based on a guard interval period set in the signal for relay transmission. SOLUTION: When a signal Ir is inputted to relay retransmission equipment 3, a guard information detector 35 decides whether or not the input signal is retransmitted, based on correlation in a guard interval period 60. By controlling the operation of a voltage controlled amplifier 32, only the effective transmission signal is relayed and retransmitted. The decision is performed by obtaining a correlation between a signal Ib converted from the input signal Ir and a signal Ibd delayed from the signal Ib, during the guard interval period 60.
