PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an exhaust noise by straightening exhaust gas flowing through a silencer in the silencer of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In the silencer of the internal combustion engine, a silencing chamber is provided at the circumference of a silencing pipe, and a plurality of small holes are formed in the exhaust pipe in the silencing chamber. In a plurality of the small holes 2 formed in the exhaust pipe 1 with an interval along a pipe axis X-X of the exhaust pipe suitably, there are alternately provided a conducting wall 5 for conducting exhaust gas circulating in the exhaust pipe 1 into the silencing chamber 4 through the small holes 2, and an introducing wall 6 for introducing exhaust gas circulating in the silencing chamber 4 into the exhaust pipe 1 through the small holes 2.
