PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration of an article holding portion, and to prevent tilting in a lateral direction of the article holding portion at the time of transferring. SOLUTION: Arms 12 are rockably attached to a base of the article holding portion of an automatic guided vehicle 2 by rubber bushes 18, and wheels 10 are attached to free ends of the arms 12. A pair of right and left wheels 10 or arms 12 is provided, and base ends of the arms 12, 12 are coupled by a hinge 26. A traveling driving portion 20 is supported on a base 8 by a supporting element 24, and the wheel 10, 10 are driven through a flexible joint 22. The wheels are rocked by projections and depressions on a floor surface, thereby suppressing vibrations of the base. By bearing the weight of the traveling driving portion 20, the so-called loading under a spring is reduced, and impact force acted by the projections and the depressions on the floor surface is decreased.
