PURPOSE: Provided are a device and a method for displaying the capacity of a battery with 7-segments of light emitting diode(LED) in a stepwise manner. CONSTITUTION: The device for displaying the capacity of a battery(12) comprises: a plurality of switching modules, each connected with the battery(12) in parallel, having a plurality of predetermined reference levels different from one another and turning on the capacity of the battery according to the reference levels to output control signals; a control module(24) for outputting display signals corresponding to the control signals generated from the switching modules; and a display module(26) which performs display according to the display signals generated from the control module.
