PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision of time series freeze frame data while preventing increase of a processing load on an ECU. SOLUTION: Plural kinds of data including sensor detection data, which require storing, are grouped based on magnitude of their time variations, and periods of backup to a backup RAM 12 are set for every group. Before occurrence of abnormal diagramming, the grouped data requiring storing are stored for updating in a first memory unit of the backup RAM 13 with the periods set for the respective groups. When abnormal diagramming occurs, the data requiring storing are similarly stored in a second memory unit.
