DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING SKEW OF DISK DRIVE

PURPOSE: A device for controlling skew of a disk drive is provided to realize a simple structure and widen a height control range by controlling a height of pick-up guide shafts by lifting skew screws to fastening holes of a balance weight. CONSTITUTION: Pick-up guide shafts(38,38') are installed at a pick-up base for movably supporting a pick-up(39). Skew elastic members(45) are installed at the pick-up base for supporting the pick-up guide shafts by providing elastic force from one ends of the pick-up guide shafts in a horizontal direction. Skew screws(40) integratedly have support flanges supporting an opposite outer peripheral surface contacting with the skew elastic members at the ends of the pick-up guide shafts, and are lifted by rotation and are separable from the pick-up base. A balance weight(47) is installed at the pick-up base, and support ribs(48) having fastening holes(49) passing through the balance weight for fastening the skew screws.
