PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server system capable of achieving fast response using a memory of small capacity. SOLUTION: For a URL which a client 2 requests for reference, the server device 1 returns either the information indicated by the URL or information indicated by other URL which indicates information similar to the information indicated by the former URL which the client requested for reference. The server device 1 includes a URL registering process part 12 having a URL table storing information indicating whether or not there is cache information for each of a plurality of pre-classified URLs, as well as information indicating the number of times that each URL is refered to; a cache memory 14 for storing information on the pages of the URL refered to as cache information; and a control part 11 which searches the cache memory 14 and returns the information indicated by other URL belonging to the same class as the URL requested by the client for reference, when information on the pages of the URL requested by the client for reference is not stored in the cache memory.
