摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an occupant by securing an operation of a safety device as much as possible. SOLUTION: A periphery monitoring sensor device 21 is provided with a radar device to detect a distance Lx from a front object having a collision possibility and relative speed Vab by using a traveling direction R and speed V of a vehicle form an electronic control unit 20 for a collision prediction. The electronic control unit 20 for the collision prediction predicts a collision with the front object based on the distance Lx and the relative speed Vab and controls an electronic control unit 30 for winding a seat belt to control winding of the seat belt. The electronic control unit 20 for the collision prediction establishes failures of each sensor device 21, 41, 50 and 60 based on signals showing abnormalities from each sensor device 21, 41, 50 and 60 and controls inhibiting of winding of the seat belt.
