PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control system for an automatic travelling vehicle capable of restricting the generation of morning effect and having excellent comfortableness of riding and safety. SOLUTION: When starting the automatic travelling vehicle in a travelling course to rise, starting time brake control for travelling while operating drum brakes 22a - 22d for a constant time is performed except a case of curve and a case where wheels are locked. Time of travelling while operating the drum brakes 22a - 22d can be reset by a magnet embedded in the course. About braking force of the drum brake when a brake pedal 17 is operated, the braking force when starting and the braking force when the brake pedal 17 is operated are compared with each other, and a larger one is chosen for braking.
