PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle transplanting method capable of partially changing bristle transplanting density in one transplanting process. SOLUTION: The surface of a resin-made material 10 is covered with a masking member 12 having a desirable a shape, and an adhesive 14 is applied thereon. The masking member 12 is removed and the adhesive 14 is further applied thereon to cause difference in the applied amount of the adhesive 14 between a masked region B and an unmasked region A. Short fiber 16 is supplied to the coated surface applied with the adhesive 14 thus obtained to transplant bristle. As the amount of the short fiber adhered varies according to the amount of the adhesive 14, more short fiber 16 adheres to the region A with a thicker layer of the adhesive 14, compared to the region B with a thinner layer of the adhesive 14.
