OPTICAL TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND OPTICAL WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEX NETWORK HAVING THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device whose cost in initial introduction can be reduced and which can constitute a flexible network and an optical wavelength multiplex network having the optical transmission device.

SOLUTION: The optical transmission device has an optical branch/insertion function in the optical wavelength multiplex network. The optical transmission device is provided with an optical branch coupler 321 branching inputted wavelength multiplex light into a through wavelength multiplex light and a drop wavelength multiplex light, wavelength variable filters 325 to 328 taking out light of a prescribed wavelength from drop wavelength multiplex light branched by the optical branch coupler 321, lasers 42 to 44 generating light of an insertion wavelength and a rejection ad-filter 331 blocking light of the wavelength the same as that of the insertion wavelength from through wavelength multiplex light branched by the optical branch coupler 321 and combining light of the insertion wavelength.
