<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost for making a fuel cell system without a deterioration in the efficiency of the whole system using a low-output voltage stack composed of a small number of stacks of unit cells. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell 1 including a low-output voltage stack composed of two or more stacks of unit cells, in which the number of stacks is smaller than that of in a high-output voltage stack and dimensions of the unit cells are extended up to the same size of total area of the high-output voltage stack. The system also comprises a DC-DC converter 2 equipped with n groups of converting circuits, in which two pairs of switching elements are connected by full bridge configurations, correspondingly to the fuel cells. Switching phases of a pair of switching elements are shifted from each other by 1/3n cycle and switching phases of switching elements of respective converting circuits are shifted one another by 1/2n cycle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
