<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite particle which can effectively derive functions possessed by titanium oxide and has little restriction in practicality. <P>SOLUTION: The composite particle is composed of smaller particles and larger particles, wherein the smaller particles are supported on the larger particles, and the smaller particles are titanium oxide-silica composite fine particles having 0.02-0.5 μm of average particle size calculated from the BET specific surface area, and the larger particles have 2-200 μm of average particle size measured by laser diffraction/scattering type particle size analysis. The composite particle is prepared by mixing a raw material including the larger particles and the smaller particles at a specified energy constant k. Organic polymer compositions, coating agents, paints, structures, cosmetics, fibers and films may be manufactured by using the composite particle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
