PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load applied to a flexible wiring board connecting a disk tray to a device main body. SOLUTION: This device has: a chassis 101; a mobile object 5 having a recording medium placing part 15 on which a recording medium 4 is placed, supported movably by the chassis 101, and moved between a recording medium replacement position protruded forward from the chassis 101 and a recording medium housing position in the chassis 101; and a flexible cable 23 which has a first arm part 180 and a second arm part 181 and is formed into an almost U-shape, wherein a tip part 180a of the first arm part 180 is fixed on the chassis 101 so as to face toward a rear part of the chassis 101 and a tip part 181a of the second arm part 181 is inserted into a connector 162 from a rear side of the mobile object 5, at least one part of a second arm part 181 of the flexible cable 23 serves as a flexion deformation part only when the mobile object 5 is moved, and a region of the second arm part 181 which is bent when the mobile object 5 is moved, is a thin part thinner than other regions.
