PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PRMA processing device in which a PR coefficient can be changed corresponding to various conditions of the kind of disks, a power consumption mode, or the like. SOLUTION: This PRML processing device comprises a coefficient selection information making circuit 13 making coefficient selection information being information about the kind of the used disk and the power consumption mode, a coefficient table 15 storing the coefficient selection information and a PR coefficient as a pair, a coefficient selecting circuit 14 selecting a PR coefficient coinciding to the coefficient selection information made by the coefficient selection information making circuit 13, a waveform equalization processing circuit 11 perform waveform equalization processing, and a soft discrimination decoding circuit 12 performing soft discrimination decoding, the waveform equalization processing circuit 11 and the soft discrimination decoding circuit 12 are operated by the PR coefficient selected by the coefficient selecting circuit 14.
