<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the high output and reliability at a low cost, in a semiconductor laser element having oscillation wavelength of 400nm band and a laser module provided with an optical fiber for transmitting a laser beam. <P>SOLUTION: Eight pieces of GaN semiconductor laser elements LD1-8 fixedly arranged on a heat block (heat sink block) 10, a collimator lens 11 and a condenser lens 12 are fixedly arranged inside a package where an optical waveguide member 30 is fixed on wall surface in such a manner that a laser beam emitted from the semiconductor laser elements LD1-8 is condensed on an incident end 34a of an optical waveguide 34 of the optical waveguide member 30. In such a state, the inner part of a package 40 is degassed and is air-tightly sealed. Thereafter, the incident end of an optical fiber 13 is tightly bonded against a light-emitting window 15 and is fixed thereon. Flux-free solder, adhesive which does not contain silicon-based organic material, fusion or welding is used for the fixation of the semiconductor laser elements LD1-8, collimator lens 11, condenser lens 12 and optical waveguide member 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
