PURPOSE: A side mirror for a vehicle is provided to enable a driver to safely drive the vehicle when changing a traffic lane by automatically changing the position of a mirror. CONSTITUTION: A side mirror for a vehicle is composed of a mirror case(50) having an opening(50a), a mirror(52) mounted to the opening, a mirror driving unit(54) installed in the mirror case and changing the angle of the mirror, a mirror adjusting unit(56) connected to the mirror driving unit and controlling the mirror driving unit, a position memory unit(58), and a memory control unit(62). The position memory unit is connected to the mirror driving unit, and memorizes the specific position of the mirror. The memory control unit is connected to the position memory unit, and controls the position memory unit.
