<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selection device and the like that are suitable for an efficient item selection. <P>SOLUTION: A time acquisition part 302 acquires the current time from a time providing device via a computer communication network or by radio communication. A history storage part 303 relates and stores conditions of past selections (at least including a time zone) and a history of items selected in the conditions. An item display part 304 classifies the acquired time as one of given time zones, acquires a history of items stored in relation to the condition that is identical to the current condition from the history storage part 303, and displays each of the plurality of items in a display position determined from the acquired history. An item selection part 305 asks a user to select one from the plurality of displayed items, and outputs it as a selection result.
