PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, efficient and simple manufacturing method of an aromatic polyimide by imidation of an aromatic polyamic acid in order to solve problems such as a high temperature heating in the thermal cyclization method, and an expensive raw material and a complicated treatment process for long periods of time in the chemical cyclization method, and to provide an aromatic polyimide solution for use in molding. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of an aromatic polyimide comprises cyclization of the aromatic polyamic acid in sulfuric acid as a reaction solvent.
