PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a rice cooker and warmer in which a main body panel is of simple organization, which even an old age person can straightforwardly operate, and which can respond to various menus. SOLUTION: In the rice cooker and warmer which comprises a main body 1 and a remote control 11, which is a body different from the main body 1, and in which the main body 1 is equipped with a heating part 5 which heats load, a drive circuit 6 which actuates this heating part 5, a display 2 which indicates cooking rice conditions, etc., a main body operation unit 3 which inputs an actuating signal, a reception unit 8 which receives the actuating signal sent from the remote control 11, and a microcomputer 10 which governs these and the remote control 11 is equipped with a remote control operation unit 12 which inputs the actuating signal and a transmitting section 13 which transmits this actuating signal to the main body 1, only high operating frequency operation keys are arranged in the main body operation unit 3 and all operation keys are arranged in the remote control operation unit 12.
