PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for using an additional mobile storing unit in a CDMA/IMT-2000 terminal are provided to allow a user to enjoy music or movies or process various games and a large amount of data by using data stored in a mobile storing unit with a CDMA/IMT-2000 terminal. CONSTITUTION: If an external connection port(40) of a CDMA/IMT-2000 terminal and an external connection port(41) of a mobile storing unit are different, the external connection port(41) of the mobile storing unit cannot be directly connected to the external connection port(40) of the CDMA/IMT-2000 terminal. In this case, those two external connection ports(40,41) are connected with each other by using a converter unit(42).
