PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a urethane water-based adhesive excellent in storage stability, free from performing heat aging, and excellent in heat resistance, water resistance, and adhesive properties. SOLUTION: The urethane water-based adhesive is one formed by adding into a composition (A) comprising a urethane polymer a water dispersion (B) of a compound having two or more functional groups having reactivity for carboxy groups and in which the solids of the above composition (A) is 50 wt.% or more. Herein, the composition (A) comprising the urethane polymer is obtained as follows. After or during dispersing into water of a homogeneous mixture comprising a urethane prepolymer having isocyanate groups in the terminals comprising three components of a polyisocyanate compound (a), a polyol compound (b), and a dimethylolalkanoic acid compound (c), obtained by subjecting them to reaction in a formulation wherein the amount of the isocyanate groups contained in the above compound (a) is more than the amount of the hydroxy groups contained in the above compound (b), a neutralizing agent, and a hydrophilic organic solvent, the chain of the above urethane prepolymer is extended by a compound having two active hydrogens capable of reacting with the isocyanate groups and/or water to prepare the composition.
