PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fireproofing protection structure and its construction method improving construction efficiency and attaining cost reduction while having excellent fire resistance efficiency. SOLUTION: A rectangular steel column 1 used as a steel structural member is covered using a dry fireproofing protection material 3 and a semi-wet fireproofing protection material 4. The surface, close to an exterior wall material 2 and a structure, of the rectangular steel column 1 is covered with the dry fireproofing protection material 3, and the other surfaces are covered with the semi-wet fireproofing protection material 4.
