The plug socket adapter has a mains plug (2) provided with an insulating housing (5) having at least 2 sets of plug pins (8,12,13,14,17,18) corresponding to the standards used in different countries, a lead cable insertion opening and a switch for coupling the lead cable (3) to a selected plug pin set. A plug socket (4) at the opposite end of the lead cable has an insulating housing (34,35,36) provided with at least 2 socket sleeves for reception of a 2-pin plug and containing a network voltage converter.
