IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus having a thumb-nail image display function which has good operability even for an aged person or a physically handicapped person and which can easily display a desired number of small pictures and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the image display apparatus.

SOLUTION: When a thumb-nail image is displayed, display number of the thumb-nail images to be displayed in a liquid crystal display is set in advance as display number of the thumb-nail images at the time of normal mode and display number of the thumb-nail images at the time of voice guide mode and the display number of the thumb-nail images corresponding to the mode is read-in (104 to 108). Then size of the thumb-nail image is determined based on read-in display number of the thumb-nail images and size of thumb-nail image display region of the liquid crystal display (110). The thumb-nail images are displayed in the liquid crystal display according to set display number of the thumb-nail images and determined size of the thumb-nail image (112).
