PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner excellent in environmental properties, particularly in moisture resistance and having stable chargeability, and to provide a fixing device to which the toner is suitably applicable and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner comprises resin as a principal component and an external additive and has an acid number of≤8.0 KOHmg/g. The resin consists mainly of a polyester resin and diol components constituting the polyester resin are mainly linear and/or cyclic aliphatic diols.
