PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the dimension in the vehicle inside-outside direction of an absorption member small. SOLUTION: In a front bumper 10 for vehicle, when an impact is applied to a bumper absorber 16 from a leg part of a pedestrian, the impact is absorbed by that the bumper absorber 16 is collapsed. Since a hollow part 24 is provided in the bumper absorber 16, the collapse remaining portion of the bumper absorber 16 can be reduced and the bumper absorber 16 can efficiently absorb the impact. Since the vehicle outside of the hollow part 24 is covered with a connection piece 18 of the bumper absorber 16, the bumper absorber 16 can sufficiently absorb the impact even at the initial stage where the impact is applied to the bumper absorber 16. Thereby, the dimension in the inside-outside direction of the bumper absorber 16 required for protecting the leg part of the pedestrian can be made small and restriction of design of the vehicle can be made less.
