PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original image reading and recording device in which the operationality of a user is improved when a reading processing and a recording output processing accompanying a rotation processing are executed. SOLUTION: A rotation-processed image is recorded and outputted with a recording part 18 while executing the rotation processing with an image processing part 19. Also, the image read with a reading part 17 can be captured by applying the rotation processing to it in the image processing part 19. The reading processing accompanying the rotation processing is executed in preference to the recording output processing accompanying the rotation processing. That is to say, the starting of the recording output processing accompanying the rotation processing is kept waiting during the execution of the reading processing accompanying the rotation processing. Also, when the reading processing accompanying the rotation processing is instructed during the execution of the recording output processing accompanying the rotation processing, the recording output processing in the execution is interrupted. The rotation processing at the image processing part 19 is made usable by the reading processing. The reading processing accompanying the rotation processing is executed by giving priority to it.
