PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle valve having small operating force. SOLUTION: This throttle valve is provided with a substantially cylindrical throttle body 5 having a main air intake port 5a opened at one end, a valve main body 9 opening/closing the main air intake port 5a of the throttle body 5 and having an auxiliary air intake port 9c coaxially with the throttle body 5, and a throttle rod 7 opening/closing the auxiliary air intake port 9c by being provided to be freely advanced and retreated in an axial direction coaxially with the throttle body 5 and opening/closing the main air intake port 5a by moving the valve main body 9. The auxiliary air intake port 9c is opened by axial moving of the throttle rod 7. The valve main body 9 is moved by axial moving of the throttle rod 7 to open the main air intake port 5. The throttle valve is provided with a valve inclination means for inclining the valve main body 9 in a closed state to plane vertical to the axial direction of the rod 7 to open a part of the main air intake port 5a.
