PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device capable of accurately performing pulling-in operation of a sheet loading base. SOLUTION: This sheet feeding device capable of feeding loaded sheets one by one has the sheet loading base 1 capable of loading sheets to move, sheet amount detection sensors 401 to 404 for detecting amount of sheets loaded on the sheet loading base 1, a loading base position detection sensor 407 for detecting that the sheet loading base 1 is at a predetermined position, a driving and moving means for moving the sheet loading base 1 by predetermined driving force, and a control means controlling the sheet loading base 1 to move it by driving force corresponding to the amount of sheets loaded by the driving and moving means when the sheet loading base 1 moves to the predetermined position.
