<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitized solar cell having high optical characteristics in open-circuit voltage or short-circuit current and with a long term stability. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitized solar cell is provided with a semi-conductor electrode carrying colorant and carboxylic acid compound on its surface, a facing substrate installed facing a semiconductor electrode with space in between and provided with a conductor layer on its surface and an electrolyte layer, sandwitched in between the semi-conductor electrode and the conductor layer and consisting of iodine molecules and molten salt of iodide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
