PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrostatic charge image developing toner in which an aqueous dispersion medium and an unreacted polymerizable monomer are uniformly removed in a short time from toner particles obtained by polymerization. SOLUTION: Wet colored polymer particles obtained by polymerization are flash-dried with a hot air flow at an air speed A (m/s) of A>10 m/s to reduce the amount of an aqueous dispersion medium to≤2.0%, and then the toner particles are dried with warm air at an air speed B of 0.1 (m/s)
