<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantum information processing system and a quantum information processing method capable of performing read-out of the result of quantum calculation by light with high efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A physical system is located between a first reflection mirror and a first end of a first optical fiber, an optical resonator whose resonator mode resonates with transition energy of the physical system is formed between the first reflection mirror and a second reflection mirror located in a second end of the first optical fiber, the quantum state of the physical system is worked by irradiating the physical system with light, the first end of the first optical fiber is exchanged for a first end of a second optical fiber, the first end of the second optical fiber is moved to the position where the physical system is to be interposed between the first reflection mirror and the first end of the first optical fiber, a photon emitted from the physical system is taken in the second optical fiber from the first end of the second optical fiber and detected by a photo detector bonded to the second optical fiber and the quantum state of the physical system is decided by presence or absence of the photon detected in a detection step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
