PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a black-and-white silver halide photographic sensitive material with which dot quality, sensitivity, and resistance to occurrence of black spots are excellent even when the black-and-white silver halide photographic sensitive material having a silver halide emulsion layer containing a specified hydrazine compound is rapidly processed after exposure by bulk running processing of over 100 m<SP>2</SP>at a low blackening area ratio, further at a blackening area ratio of 10-50% with a developing solution containing ascorbic acids under a small replenishment quantity, and also to provide a processing agent kit for the sensitive material. SOLUTION: In the processing method for a black-and-white silver halide photographic sensitive material, the sensitive material having a silver halide emulsion layer containing a specified hydrazine compound is processed after exposure with a developing solution not substantially containing a dihydroxybenzene compound and containing a compound of formula (1) and further containing at least one sulfo substituted organic compound selected from aliphatic sulfo compounds and hydroxy-free aromatic sulfo compounds and a preservative.
