PURPOSE: A method for controlling audio lip-synchronization is provided to prevent the dropout of SPDIF output. CONSTITUTION: When audio data are initially inputted, audio output is muted(S21). If an audio PES(Packetized Elementary Stream) including a PTS(Presentation Time Stamp) is inputted, audio decoding is started(S22). It is judged whether the number of audio skip generation is greater than a predetermined upper limited value(S24). If the number of audio skip generation is greater than the predetermined upper limited value, a task including audio decoding stop, audio and video repetition and skip limit value adjustment and audio decoding resumption progresses(S28,S29).
